@Franky000 my guess is E or G, that’s what he usually plays

  3. linkrlz247 Says:

haha couldnt agree more. seeing him live though, and that adds to his presence on stage. and he is still an amazing player, with great stories about the old legends

Roys got the devil locked in a trunk underfoot… no deals this time…he got the devil in the stompbox for keeps!

kinda reminds me of a bluesy Les Claypool

This guy is a skillful beast! Anyone else notice that he’s hybrid picking? Maybe I’m seeing it wrong, but if he is, then its even more amazing.

    Damn this was great music!

  10. Dialoquese Says:

Kinda reminds me of Richard Dryfuss only better lookin.
He’s a wild man. Got fingers from the Fringe of human understanding. Great presence. Most excellent command of the fretboard..

Does Dobro still make a 12 string instrument. Bob Brozman has a 12 string National with a steel body but I like Roy Roger’s instrument sounds. Is that a Maple Body and he must be in a “G” tuning D-G-D-G-B-D

douse anyone recognise the pedel used.

  13. DirtyHunter3 Says:

    Damn i love it :-D

  14. shortyman687 Says:

I’m pretty certain he’s not using any effects… He’s getting all the different tones and sounds by using his slide….

  15. bankjobBoB Says:

no, the sound hes getting while playing notes and chords.

  16. shortyman687 Says:

Really !? I thought it was coming from his damn nose…..

I’m a musician myself, i understand the workings of a guitar. And, i think you know what i meant.

Of course he’s creating the notes and chords by striking the strings, but the tonal effect is created by the slide.

  17. bankjobBoB Says:

sorry then, i assumed you where one of those pepole who knew sod all about any given subject. gets annoying after a wile. anyhow this is the first time ive herd a 12 string in action, and it had pickups on it so i assumed he had some kind of electo-amp system hooked up. and im also a musician myself.

  18. digitaldown Says:

    12 string resonator sounds awesome

  19. shortyman687 Says:

Don’t worry about it :) I’m equally sick of people who are “experts” on things

Although he’s using a rig with electro pickups i’m fairly certain it’s a clean signal to the amp… he’s just a bad ass guitar ninja lol

I like Roy is a good guitarist and has bad boy face. Better than Eric Sardinas which is much more heavy that bluesman.

  21. petekaz1977 Says:

This is the first time I have heard someone play with a slide and fingers at the same time. Very cool music.

  22. PalmirojrPT Says:
