Does anyone know what happened to or where his guitar (the Selmer) one is? Seems like it should be in a display case where musicians can come to bow to.
@skinnyblink7 He had several Les Paul ended up with one and showed it in an episode of “American Masters” on PBS. The show was recorded several years ago but they show it when they are in the middle of fund drives. You can also go to the PBS website and navigate to American Masters and watch it on your computer. Hope this helps. Pretty good player for having two working fingers wasn’t he?
@PandabeerMEISTER Django’s life story is pretty interesting. from what i remember he started playing at a young age (single digits i think) being a gypsy he either had to play an instrument well or … he lost fingers on his fret hand and yet still managed to play guitar. perhaps this little snippet will get some curious enough to dig a little deeper.
I don’t really understand why youtube even keeps the comment function. If you want to compliment someone, send them a personal message. If you want to discuss a video with someone, personal message them and forward it to different people.
And with that, I’m going to stop commenting on youtube videos.
